“Functional breathing is a neglected pillar of integrative medicine and has become even more relevant with the rise of long covid, burnout and chronic illness. In this talk, we will discuss the most common dysfunctional breathing habits seen in practice, how to identify and correct them. We will also discuss the neurobiological mechanisms of specific breathing practices that regulate the autonomic nervous system and inflammatory pathways.”
