Dr. Turner brings a wealth of experience to the table as a seasoned medical professional with extensive expertise in treating vector-borne infections. Her journey into specializing in these diseases is deeply personal, stemming from her own experience as a patient failed by our current healthcare system. This firsthand encounter ignited her passion and commitment to understanding and addressing these often misunderstood illnesses.
As a member of both ILADS (International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society) and SASIM (South African Society of Integrative Medicine), Dr. Turner is deeply entrenched in the forefront of research and treatment modalities for vectorborne
diseases. Her dedication to evidence-based practice is evident in everyslide she presents, with meticulous referencing to ensure the highest standards of accuracy and credibility.
In addition to her medical qualifications, Dr. Turner is also a functional medicine practitioner, specializing in vector-borne diseases and mold-related illnesses. She has completed rigorous training, including the Lyme fundamentals and ILADS physician training, and recently returned from the prestigious ILADS Germany conference, where she further honed her skills and knowledge in this field.
